Description
This course deals with the importance of preaching, types of sermons, the structure and preparation of sermons, the delivery of sermons, the use of illustrations and quotations in sermons, preaching through the Christian Year, and the art of public speaking. The requirements of the course include written and oral presentations. Students are advised to complete an exegesis course prior to registering for this course. Offered in the spring semester each year. Beginning Spring 2010 (09-10) Pre-requisite: an exegesis course.
